Support Us
The League of Women Voters of Utica & Rome, NY is a non-profit, non-partisan organization. Through generous contributions and membership efforts, the League can continue to do the following:
- Conduct candidate forums for town, city, and county officials, and for school board elections
- Sponsor & co-sponsor candidate debates
- Sponsor educational events in the community
- Promote voter registration
- Encourage fair campaign practices
- Offer the LeaderSpark leadership training program for high school students
- Provide voter guides to the community
- Provide information through our website
- Lobby our local and state representatives on pressing issues, such as implementation of the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), legislative reform, health care, court restructuring, and campaign finance reform
Your donation will assist the League in continuing these activities. You can help:
- Support all League activities with a donation made payable to "LWV Utica Rome". This contribution is not tax deductible; or
- Support the League's educational events, such as candidate forums, with a donation made payable to "LWVNYS Education Foundation". This contribution is tax deductible and is used only for educational events.
